5 Places to Get Healthy Food Delivery

Updated: Dec 23, 2021

The circuit breaker period may be a strange and difficult period for all of us. While this is not a time to stress your body or mind out with a completely different diet, it is more important than ever to maintain a healthy diet and consume a balance of nutritious food to keep our immune systems functioning.

And sometimes if we don’t really feel like cooking, a plus point of the circuit breaker period is that many restaurants have jumped on the delivery bandwagon and have started to offer affordable food delivered straight to your doorstep! Today, I want to tell you about some of the tried and tested macro-friendly delivery options that are available!

1. Wafuken

Wafuken has two outlets in the Central Business District and is one of my favorite macro-friendly places to get food from even before the circuit breaker started. They specialize in sous vide, an oil-free cooking method that results in spectacularly tender, healthy proteins. You can customize your own meal or choose one of their pre-set bowls. Their menu changes seasonally, and they even have a macronutrient counter on their website! To make things even better, Wafuken is currently offering free deliveries for orders above $35.

Price Range: $15-$20/meal

FitLuc Recommendation: Sous vide Chicken Breast, Oyster Blade Steak, Miso Cauliflower

2. Super Simple

I’m rather reluctant to let you guys in on this hidden gem, but Super Simple is my favorite meal-prep place of all time. Super Simple has three outlets; two in the Central Business District and one at Fusionopolis. Similar to Wafuken, it offers customizable meals or pre-set bowls. They also have ‘Family Feasts’ if you are ordering for the entire family. Their food is super flavorful at the same time really healthy. Super Simple offers free islandwide delivery for meals above $50, otherwise the delivery charge will be between $8-$15.

Price Range: $15-$20/meal

FitLuc Recommendation: Slow-Cooked Norwegian Salmon, Picanha Steak, Roasted pineapple, Egg White

3. Souperstar

Soups are always a great healthy choice, especially with the recent rainy weather. Souperstar offers healthy soups paired with fusion popiahs. I find their soups really delicious and comforting, and their popiahs are delicious, generously-sized and chock-full of vegetables and protein. Souperstar offers traditional popiahs as well as fusion popiahs such as wasabi prawn and Caesar salad popiahs, so you don’t feel bored. Besides that, they also offer super healthy salads and stews as well. For delivery, there is a minimum order of $25 and a flat islandwide rate of $5.

Price Range: $10-$15/meal

FitLuc Recommendation: Creamy Tomato Basil Soup, Sesame Chicken Popiah, Aburi Miso Salmon Salad

4. Salmon Samurai

Have a sashimi craving? Salmon Samurai offers super delicious poke bowls, where you can choose a base of your choice paired with you guessed it, fresh salmon. You can opt to have the salmon aburi-ed, marinated (teriyaki, shoyu or mala) or even keep it plain as sashimi. You can even add-on a variety of toppings, such as onsen egg, avocado or crabsticks. The varieties are endless! Right now, Salmon Samurai is offering free islandwide delivery for all orders above $50!

Price Range: $10-$20/meal

FitLuc Recommendation: Salmon Poke & Yuzu Ume Rice, Salmon Mentaiko & Udon Noodles, Omega Samurai (delivery exclusive)

5. Cedele

Cedele is a great option if you want a variety of clean, affordable foods. Personally for me, I love bread, and Cedele offers great healthy bakes as well. Steer away from the muffins and cakes and opt for their artisan sourdoughs if you want to order their bread. They also offer customizable salad bowls, wraps and healthy breakfast plate options of scrambled eggs, toast and avocado. Cedele even has a special section on its website with healthful options such as healthy snacks of nuts and trail mix. Its just really comforting to wake up to a healthy breakfast and gets me ready to start the work-from-home day. They have free delivery for orders above $60 too.

Price Range: $10-$20/meal

FitLuc Recommendation: Prawn & Avocado Egg Wrap, Chicken Walnut Salad, Seabass & Prawn Quinoa
